Every season has its special foods
A recent trip to visit my daughter in Phoenix convinced me that I like the four seasons of the Midwestern states. While the temperature in Phoenix hovered between a high of 90 and a low of 60 degrees, the green grass was beginning to grow back after a scorching summer. I like the change of seasons -- even winter. Bring it on!

Pumpkins are a lot like poinsettias. The day after the holiday, it's time for them to disappear. Even if pumpkins were not carved and do fit into Thanksgiving decorations, I vote pumpkins should be cut up for pie the first week in November.
