Haunted Dungeon: The Lisle Park District will hold its annual Haunted Dungeon from 7 to 10 p.m. on the west side of the Lisle Senior High School. Admission is $7. Not recommended for very young children.

The Haunting at River Bend: Spooky golf cart tours of River Bend Golf Course in Lisle will be held at dusk. Those under 18 years old will not admitted without an adult. The cost is $13. Tickets are on sale in the bar of the golf course's clubhouse. Call 630-968-1920.

Leaf pickup: The 2009 Loose Leaf Pickup Program is running now through the week of Nov. 16. Lisle provides free weekly pickup of loose leaves (not bagged) for all single-family homes within the village's corporate limits. Crews will go through the entire village once a week and pick up leaves that have been raked to the front parkway. Leaves not in the front parkway at the time crews arrive will not be picked up until the following week. Call 630-271-4180.

Trick-or-Treat hours: Halloween trick-or-treat hours in Lisle will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. downtown and from 3 to 8 p.m. in Lisle neighborhoods. Parents should inspect all treats, making sure they are wrapped. Residents who will be giving out candy should turn on their porch light. Houses without illuminated porch lights should not be approached.

Nov. 1

Chamber Concert Series: Chicago Philharmonic will perform at 2:15 p.m. Nov. 1 at The Morton Arboretum in Lisle. Tickets are $23 for members and $28 for nonmembers. Concerts are presented in the Auditorium of the Thornhill Education Center on the Arboretum's west side. Each performance is followed by a reception in the Founder's Room. Church food drive: St. Joan of Arc parishioners will be going door to door in Lisle and in western Downers Grove from 1 to 4 p.m. collecting donations of nonperishable food and paper products for its annual Harvest Sunday Food Drive. Parishioners will be distributing fliers, picking up donations and sorting, packing and distributing food. Donations will be shared with local families as well as with the Lisle Township Food Pantry, FISH Food Pantry in Downers Grove and the People's Resource Center in Wheaton.
