Some things begin where others end, and in Lisle, the old downtown has now officially closed, and a new order has officially been ushered in. On June 26, village officials, led by Mayor Joe Broda, conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the Downtown Lisle Streetscape Improvement Project, a $20 million venture that began with a master plan in 1999.
