Brown's heroics boost Plainfield East

Lincoln-Way West on Monday night in play at the Pheast of the Phoenix
Tournament. Included were two free throws to seal the victory
with 10.6 seconds left as the Bengals (1-0) scored a dramatic victory
in their first boys varsity basketball game.

Bolingbrook musician dreams of silver screen
Allen Cotton didn't win the annual Drum-Off District Finals at the Guitar Center in North Chicago, but the Bolingbrook musician is still pleased with his other victory. In late October, Cotton, 20, was crowned the local winner at the Guitar Center in Joliet. It was the first time he's won the title in his four years of competing.
