STNG NEWS ALERTS ::
Instructor Mark Kimzey shows student Nick Novakovich the route they will be taking while riding their tandem bicycle at Lincoln-Way East High School last Wednesday afternoon in Frankfort. Novakovich was one of 40 participants in the program who learned to ride a bike properly.
Arick Burt pedaled round and round the field house at Lincoln-Way East High School, a yellow-shirted volunteer running alongside. After years of trying to ride a bicycle, the 9-year-old Tinley Park boy was finally succeeding. "It's very fun," said Arick, 9. He and his brother, Andrew, 6, took part in the Lose the Training Wheels Bike Camp sponsored by the Lincoln-Way Area Special Education Co-op District 843.

The Whittingham family's life changed forever on Halloween weekend in 2006. Lyndsey Whittingham and her friends went to downtown Chicago to celebrate the holiday.
