Briefs: Veterans Day event set in Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE -- A Veterans Day ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Veteran's Memorial Garden, Montrose Drive and Route 53.

The garden is adjacent to Village Hall.

MORRIS -- Operators at Dresden Generating Station returned the Unit 3 turbine to service at 4:40 a.m. Monday following repairs to a turbine valve.

The Unit 3 turbine was taken offline Friday afternoon and the reactor remained at low power while the repairs were completed. Unit 2 has been in a planned refueling and maintenance outage since Nov. 2.

Dresden Generating Station's two operating units can produce more than 1,700 megawatts net of electricity per hour.
