One of the biggest fish of all may be getting away. DNA evidence says the dreaded Asian carp may have slipped through the $9 million dollar electronic barrier system designed to hook the invasive fish before they infiltrate Lake Michigan.

Lemont, Lockport start the season against each other

Another food store is finding its way into Orland Park. Green Food and Produce is expected to open early next year in what used to be Bobak's Plaza. The building has been vacant since Frank & Angie Simply Fresh Foods left more than a year ago. A restaurant will be attached to the new store, too, as was the case when the Bobak family owned the store.
Fresh is the way to go at Bin 48
Bin 48 in downtown Plainfield specializes in making a night out enjoyable and memorable.
The wine bar and grill, open since June, features fresh, homemade food with a large wine list, said manager Cheryl Smith.
"Everything is fresh, homemade daily," Smith said. "Nothing is frozen."
