Plainfield South 5-0, Hinsdale South 4-1 -- At Joliet, Krista Matsui and Mary Giancarlo each had 3 hits in Game 1 as the Cougars (15-5) rallied from a 4-3 deficit to gain a 5-4 victory.

Matsui doubled and scored 1 run. Kendall Weber tripled and scored 1 run. Alexis Alvarez and Jackie Frey doubled and had 1 RBI. Alyssa Schrader was the winning pitcher. She allowed 9 hits and struck out 7.

In Game 2, Gaby Liberatore suffered the setback despite scattering 2 hits over 5 innings. She struck out 5. Matsui, Giancarlo and Lauren Walker combined to account for South's 3 hits.

Providence 11-8, St. Viator 1-1 -- At Arlington Heights, Sarah Budz hit for the cycle in Game 1 for the Celtics (18-7, 12-2). She finished with 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Hannah Gardner went 3-for-4 and Emily Perish (10-6) gained the pitching win.

In Game 2, Gardner went 3-for-4 and scored 2 runs. Chloe Ooprzedek went 2-for-3 and scored 3 runs. Marissa Welch (8-1) tossed a 5-hitter.

JCA 5-6, Carmel 1-3 -- At Mundelein, Stefanie Chruchwell and Maile Corpus each had 2 hits in Game 1 for the Angels (14-6, 8-3). Danielle Reilly pitched 4 scoreless innings to gain the pitching victory. She allowed 1 hit.

In Game 2, Amie Brown was the winning pitcher. She allowed 8 hits and struck out 5. Brown also had 2 hits, including a homer, and drove in 4 runs. Jessica Tezak had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Kayla Borgra went 2-for-3.

Lincoln-Way Central 11, Downers Grove North 1 -- At Downers Grove, winning pitcher Stephanie Rassman threw a 4-hitter with 3 strikeouts.

Brittnie Boerema led the offense for the Knights with a 3-run homer, while Rachel Larson and Gina Brown each had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

New Trier 3, Lincoln-Way Central 2 -- At Downers Grove, Brittnie Boerema hit a solo homer for the Knights (18-6), while Desi DeMarco hit a pair of doubles.

Lockport 5-8, Oak Park-River Forest 2-3 -- At Lockport, Dana Bowler (11-3) scattered 6 hits over 7 innings in Game 1 to raise her record to 11-3. She struck out 10. Brittany Gonsoulin went 2-for-3 and scored 1 run for the Porters (20-4). Brittany Bochenek went 1-for-3 and had 2 RBIs.

In Game 2, Alyssa Vorel (6-0) allowed 7 hits in 7 innings. She struck out 2. Vorel also went 2-for-3 and had 2 RBIs. Courtney Kutsulis smacked a two-run double.

Lincoln-Way East 5, Queen of Peace 1 -- At Frankfort, Bri Lizen went 1-for-3, including a double, to lift the Griffins. Lindsay Markauski, Maggie Kerrigan and Alexa Harke each added 1 RBI and Jessica Iverson (6-4) gained the pitching win.
