NEW LENOX -- Despite a double-double from senior Katie Hannemann, the Providence Catholic High School girls basketball team dropped a 47-43 decision to Benet Academy in East Suburban Catholic Conference play on Friday.
The 6-foot-1 Hannemann finished with 14 points and 18 rebounds. Brianne Vandenberg had 10 points for the Celtics (5-6, 0-2).
Julian Brooks (135) and Donnie Simpson were technical fall winners. Winning by decision were Darshawn Hardy (112) and Jalen Rhodes (130).
Joliet Township 44, Bolingbrook 21 -- At Joliet, posting pin victories for JT (5-4, 1-1) in the Southwest Suburban Blue win were A.J. Juarez (119 pounds), Ryan Winchell (125), Drew Aldridge (140), Jeremy Mack (145) and Ivory Blackwell (171). Steelmen winners by decision were Dorsey Flagg (103), Mark Johnson (130), Jim Spangler (135) and Chad Carlson (160).
Plainfield South loses twice -- At Joliet, the Cougars fell 66-6 to Yorkville and 52-14 to Plainfield North.
Lemont wins twice -- The Indians defeated Eisenhower 48-9 and downed Richards 63-18. Lemont fell Shepard 47-27.
For Lincoln-Way North, Kelsey O'Brien had a high game of 205. Deanna Esposito bowled a 195. Meagan Radloff had a high game of 174.
