Bokoski, Minooka grapplers flatten Plainfield South 51-16

JOLIET -- In the early part of the high school wrestling season, Minooka's Brian Bokoski is making the most of his limited time on the mat.

Bokoski pinned Plainfield South's Brian Warren in 2:57 of their 125-pound match on Thursday night. The pin was one of six registered by the Indians in a 51-16 victory.

Leo Ruettiger (103), Bobby Zabel (112), Joeie Ruettiger (119), Jay Meeder (135) and Mitch Brozovich (160) also won matches by fall.

Other scores -- Lemont dropped a 37-36 decision to Tinley Park and a 42-33 decision to Reavis.

BOYS BOWLING

Lincoln-Way Central 2,157, Stagg 1,861 -- At New Lenox, Cody Vogler bowled games of 253 and 2264 for a 517 series. The Knights also picked up scores from Danny Derby (237), Steve Nylen (208), Scott Lueken (244) and Javier Rodriquez (247-204).

Lincoln-Way East 2,138, Sandburg 2,042 -- At Frankfort, Kyle Cialdella bowled a high game of 258. Nathan Stancik had games of 235 and 236 for a 471 series.

Plainfield South 3,117, Plainfield North 2,665 -- At Town & Country, Brandyn Andelbradt bowled games of 275, 224 and 204 for a 703 series. Bryan Tomac had 665, Calvin Hendrickson 654, Eric Brander 526, Will Eklove 525 and Kyle Heywood 523.

Sean Tipton topped Plainfield North with games of 204, 202 and 166 for a 572 series.

GIRLS BOWLING
 
Plainfield North 2,972, Romeoville 2,409 -- Meghan Hardy had the high game of 250 and high series of 653 to lead Plainfield North in the dual meet at Brunswick Zone in Romeoville.

Andrew 1,656, Lincoln-Way East 1,403 -- Julie DeReiter had a high game of 180 and a series of 331. Amber Graefen had a 178 game and 334 series.
