MORRIS -- Morris High School is picking up steam.
The Redskins played well for a second straight week, defeating Oswego East 41-7 in Southwest Prairie Conference play.
Last week, Morris (4-4, 4-2) beat Plainfield South 28-7.
And once again, senior Adam Tondini was a big force for Morris. Tondini, who rushed for 131 yards on 22 carries against Plainfield South, had another stellar night. He finished with 103 yards on 18 attempts and scored 2 TDs against the Wolves (2-6, 1-5).
Jack Allen had 44 yards rushing on 8 tries and Drew Tondini contributed 41 on 4 carries for the Redskins, who led 27-0 at halftime.
Drew Tondini, Allen and quarteback Matt Hussey also scored rushing touchdowns for the Redskins.
Morris senior defensive lineman Tyler Ness had 4 solo tackles and 1 assist.
"The guys played very well and made very few mistakes," Wilmington coach Jeff Reents said. "We got some momentum early."
John VanDuyne, who finished with 72 yards rushing, scored on a 64-yard second-quarterf touchdown run. Josh Bailey (113 yards rushing) then broke a 66-yarder for a score.
"Those runs by VanDuyne and Bailey got us going," Reents said.
Cort Scheel rushed for a game-high 122 yards. Colin Webb passed for 2 scores.
