Soldier visits Joliet school for Veterans Day

U.S. Army Cpt. Gregory Baugh, of Plainfield, recently visited Thomas Jefferson Elementary School to talk about Afghanistan at its Veterans Day Assembly on Friday. Among the students were his sons Bryant, Logan and Luke.

James Fleming of Morris was never afraid to try something new. In one lifetime, he worked the careers of six men, starting with a position in the printing trade when he came home after serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Then he worked as the project manager for owner-completed homes, teaching the residents the basics of wiring, plumbing and insulation.
