Man refuses to be robbed
JOLIET -- Two armed men tried to rob another man as he left an East Side bar Friday night, Joliet police said.
The 45-year-old victim was in the 400 block of Meeker Avenue when the men appeared. Wearing dark sweatshirts and stocking caps, they carried a handgun and a sawed-off shotgun, police said. The robbers demanded his wallet, but the man refused. As they fled, he chased them through an alley, police said.
Early in the day, the child was reported missing by her mother, Joliet police said. Investigators later found her on East Cass Street. No other information about the incident was available Saturday afternoon.

• Eric T. Woolfolk , 33, of Flossmoor, was arrested Friday by Will County police, charged with manufacture or delivery of cannabis and taken to the
Will County jail.
• Jamie Schultz , 21, of Park Forest, was arrested Friday by Will County police, charged with battery and taken to the Will County jail.
• Cesar Zavala , 20, of 604 Oakview, Joliet, was arrested Friday by Will County police and charged with possession or use of a firearm, manufacture or delivery of cannabis and reckless
discharge of a firearm. He was taken to the Will County jail.
• Terrance D. Mann , 23, of 20 Ivy St., Joliet, was arrested Friday by Joliet police, charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, obstructing a police officer and domestic battery. He was taken to the Will County jail.
• Ashley M. Filip , 21, of Sugar Grove, was arrested Saturday by Bolingbrook police and charged with criminal damage to property, possession of cannabis and obstructing a police officer. She was taken to the Will County jail.
• James L. Fraime , 36, of Cicero, was arrested Saturday by Romeoville police and charged with giving or selling liquor to a minor, resulting in death. He was taken to the Will County jail. No other information about the charge was available Saturday night.
• Hector Zuniga , 42, of 2800 Broadway in Blue Island, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Thursday on charges of driving on a revoked or suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• Michael W. Conte , 48, of 15401 W. 119th St. in Plainfield, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Thursday on a charge of driving on a revoked or suspended license.
• Benjamin O. Igbo , 61, of 1422 Alexander Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Thursday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked or suspended license.
• Cederick Friend , 17, of 101 N. Pine in Chicago, and Dwayne P. Richter , 17, of 1426 William St. in Joliet, were arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Thursday on charges of criminal trespassing and criminal damage to property.
• Michael A. Fritz , 50, of 25002 Lorenzo Road in Wilmington, was arrested by Wilmington police and booked into the county jail Thursday on a charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• Kimberly A. Barczak , 39, of 1715 Ironwood Drive in Naperville, was arrested by Bolingbrook police and booked into the county jail Thursday on a charge of theft.
• Kenneth A. Babich , 23, of 13617 S. Loomis Lane in Crestwood, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Friday on a charge of aggravated battery.
• Raeshawn E. Fields , 28, of 1461 Pioneer Road in Crest Hill, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday on a charge of possession of cannabis.
• Donald R. Dixon , 53, of 758 Windsor in Crete, was arrested by Beecher police and booked into the county jail Friday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• Jonathan D. Roesler , 19, of 751 Kristin Lane in Wilmington, and Timothy M. Eaker , 20, of 110 Camelot Drive in Gardner, were arrested by Braidwood police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of possession of a controlled substance.
• April J. Pomykala , 28, of 214 S. Midland Ave. in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• Christian F. Bailey , 39, of 2933 Hickory Court in Woodridge, was arrested by Bolingbrook police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked or suspended license.
• Leon Boleaga , 39, of 406 Hallmark in Bolingbrook, was arrested by Bolingbrook police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
