Vandal smashes windows, flees scene in Cadillac

JOLIET -- A man was seen breaking windows of parked cars around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

A resident of the 100 block of Illinois Street spotted the vandal getting into a white Cadillac after damaging one vehicle. Police also found four other damaged vehicles nearby in the 200 block of Comstock Street.

• Alaa Naji , 28, of 827 W. Jefferson in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday for failing to comply with the state's sex offender registry requirements.

• Antonio P. Tyler , 28, of 2358 S. St. Louis Ave. in Chicago, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and battery.

• Jassmine Ridgeway , 22, of 2815 W. 83rd Place in Chicago, was arrested by Steger police and booked into the county jail Friday on a charge of forgery.

• Edgar Martinez , 23, of 3620 Rogina Drive in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

• Amparo Medina , 22, of 227 Comstock St. in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday on a charge of aggravated battery.

• Javier Franco , 24, of 209 S. Pinecrest in Bolingbrook, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday for failing to comply with the state's sex offender registry requirements and on charges of criminal trespassing and criminal damage to property.

• Frank T. Hemler , 35, of 1624 May Apple Court in Naperville, was arrested by Bolingbrook police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of failing to report an accident involving an injury or death, driving while under the influence of alcohol and hit-and-run.

• David A. Crable , 21, of 2211 Marmion Ave. in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Saturday on charges of battery and criminal damage to property.

• Brandon J. Banks , 25, of 108 Edie Lane in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Saturday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked or suspended license.

• Victor M. Nunez , 33, of 201 N. Eastern Ave. in Joliet; Alejandro G. Ortiz , 23, of 415 Francis St. in Joliet, and Javier Aguilar-Ramirez , 26, of 1018 Hacker Ave. in Joliet, were arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Saturday on charges of aggravated battery. Nunez was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

• Raymundo Rios , 42, of 233 Aspen Drive in Beecher, was arrested by Beecher police and booked into the county jail Saturday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked or suspended license.

• Martin Cervantes-Sanchez , 24, of 511 Pasadena Ave. in Crest Hill, was arrested by Romeoville police and booked into the county jail Saturday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.

• Gregory A. Branch , 20, of 36 Fernwood Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Saturday on a charge of theft.

• Stephon H. Ross , 18, of 5117 W. Monroe St. in Chicago, was arrested by Romeoville police and booked into the county jail Saturday on a charge of theft.

• Dolly M. Cornfield , 30, of 529 Silver Leaf Drive in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Saturday on a charge of theft.

• Juan C. Cruz , 24, of 418 Abe St. in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

• Donte D. McDonald , 21, of 444 Seminole Lane in Bolingbrook, and Martel L. Green , 22, of Lemont, were arrested by Bolingbrook police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of robbery.

• Anthony B. Ratcliff , 40, of 407 Mason St. in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked or suspended license.

• Varian D. Horton , 37, of 1860 State St. in Calumet City, and Monir Chatman , 34, of 763 Cambridge Ave. in Matteson, were arrested by state police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of unlawful use of a credit card.

• Armando Jacobo-Nunez , 35, of 664 Henderson Ave. in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid license.

• Ricardo Contreras-Sanchez , 31, of 222 Broadway in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of driving on a revoked or suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

• Vincente Vasquez , 44, of 7001 Riley Drive in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff's police and booked into the county jail Sunday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.

• Scott J. Cepaitis , 29, of 70 Allen St. in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
