Column lacked sensitivity

Lori Sherman's column of Oct. 15 infuriated me. People like Sherman -- who do nothing but parrot the vapid views of conservatives -- deserve criticism.

Did Sherman know what she was saying when she referred to President Obama as a Nazi?

In what respect might our president have Nazi leanings? Do you suppose he'd have qualified as one of Hitler's storm troopers during World War II? I could just imagine him as Hitler's right hand man, couldn't you?

Does Obama -- who had a black father and white mother -- believe in ethnic cleansing? Has Obama subjected minorities to torture and death? Has Obama attempted to eradicate an entire race of people? Has he attempted to invade other countries to create a Nazi Nation?

With her comments, Sherman denigrates the 10 million individuals who were tortured and killed by the Nazi regime. How dare you brandish the word Nazi around like a weapon to malign. Do you have any idea how foolish, ignorant and mean-minded you sound to those who suffered during World War II?

A good writer doesn't need to resort to hysteria and hyperbole. When you write, have a little bit of sensitivity.
