November 8, 2009

Balsam trees, small, medium and large wreaths, grave blankets, decorated wooden crosses and more will be for sale.

On Nov. 29, Santa will make a special visit to the Braidwood Park District's Old Smokey Administration Building at 245 W. First St. Santa will visit from noon to 4 p.m.

Children can make a craft, enjoy some refreshments and visit with Santa. Parents can bring their cameras for pictures with Santa. Admission to the event is free.

On the same day, the Lions will hold their annual Christmas basket raffle so the parents can participate in the raffle while the children are otherwise occupied. Many baskets containing items from local businesses, crafters and individual contributions will be raffled off.

Tickets will cost $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased at the door. Winning tickets will be drawn at 4 p.m. after the visit with Santa.
