Joliet author to share how she overcame the pain of fibromyalgia

November 4, 2009

JOLIET -- Author and Joliet resident Cherie Stechly will discuss her battle with fibromyalgia at a workshop today at the Ostir Chiropractic Clinic in Joliet. Her talk on overcoming the pain and suffering from fibromyalgia will start at 6 p.m. at the clinic, 742 Essington Road.

Stechly also will offer advance copies of her book "Overcome Your Fibromyalgia. I did it -- You can too!" from Tate Publishing. The book is scheduled for release on Jan. 12.

Dr. Dan Beal, who is hosting this free workshop, will offer information on one of the latest techniques in treating fibromyalgia pain. Beal is one of 100 chiropractors in the United States that is in a pilot program for this state-of-the-art technique to reduce and or eliminate the pain of fibromyalgia.

Beal will offer a free relief test to those who suffer from fibromyalgia.

For more information or to reserve a seat, call the Ostir Chiropractic Clinic at 815-729-2022.

Stechly knows firsthand that living with fibromyalgia is not easy. In her book, she shares with readers how she defeated this horrific disease that affects 10 million people and how she has been pain free for four years.

Stechly overcame sleep depravation, adrenal fatigue, candida, kidney stones, irritable bowel syndrome, interstitial cystitis, hypoglycemia, thyroid imbalance, pH imbalances, and fog brain. Her book reveals how a change of diet, reduction of stress, positive attitude, spirituality, the use of vitamins and herbs along with many other anecdotes were used to find healing. A forward by Dr. R.W. Schubert, her family physician who assisted Stechly in her healing journey, provides testimony to the healing process.

Stechly serves as the marketing communication specialist for Guardian Angel Community Services in Joliet.
