Church hosts Joliet Area Black College Fair


November 1, 2009

Brown Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church will host its 16th annual Joliet Area Black College Fair from 2-4:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the church, 1502 E. Mills Road in Joliet.

The fair offers the opportunity to talk to alumni of more than 20 historically black colleges/universities and obtain information about scholarships, grants and financial aid. College- bound seniors can win a $100 or more scholarship.

There will be a health fair with the National Hook-up of Black Women doing diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. Regional care of Will County will conduct HIV/AIDS rapid testing.
