Gotta do it: Charity Tea Fundraiser

Charity Tea Fundraiser: 6 p.m. Oct. 29 at Immaculate Conception Parish Hall, 110 S. School St. in Braidwood. Hosted by Reed-Custer Family Care. Tickets are $5 at the door and include an auction, raffle, entertainment, dessert and tea. Call Alice at 815-476-0292.

Oct. 30-31

Christmas opening: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 30-31, Silver Cross Hospital's resale shop, northwest of the hospital's Keck Emergency Pavilion off Walnut Street in Joliet. Items available for purchase include holiday decorations, adult and children's seasonal clothing, toys, household items, books and more. All proceeds benefit Silver Cross Hospital, a not-for-profit health care provider. Donations are welcome. Call 815-740-7117.
