Life line screening: 9 a.m. Nov. 14, First Church of the Nazarene, 12725 Bell Road, Lemont. Offering non-invasive screenings using ultrasound technology. A new screening for atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm that is linked up to 20 percent of all strokes, is now offered. Fingerstick blood testing for lipid profile (cholesterol, HDL/LDL, triglycerides) and glucose levels will also be available. The stroke/vascular disease/heartrhythm ultrasound package (CA, AAA, AFIB, ABI) is $139. The blood package (lipid profile/glucose) is $50 additional with the ultrasound package.
