Windy City Wrestling

The Joliet Township High School Foundation is bringing professional wrestling to the West Campus gymnasium Saturday, with the first match starting at 7 p.m.

The wrestlers, from Windy City Pro Wrestling promotions, include local athletes Mike Balli (above, who competed for three years in the World Wrestling Federation) and Rob West of Lockport.

Balli wrestles under the name Mike Anthony and has won multiple titles in his years in the ring. His former tag team partner Steve Bozniak of Chicago is also a WWF alum and on the card for a singles bout. Other featured wrestlers include performers by the name of Acid Jaz and Marche Rockett, along with the tag team called "Nightbreed."

Tickets are still on sale and some front row seats are still available. The prime tickets are $20; the next best are $15 and bleacher seats are $10. For ticket sales of further information, wrestling fans can call 727-7009.

Proceeds from the event will fund the Foundation's grant program and scholarship project. Concession stand profits will benefit the district's Athletic Program.
