BUSINESS BRIEFS
"I thought it was a good design, but was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was selected as one of the winners for 2008," said designer Joe Giunta. "It's nice to know that JJC will get some recognition for it."
"Since Joe started designing our promotional materials in 2002, we have seen a sharp increase in customer inquiries," said Amy Murphy, director of Corporate and Community Services for JJC. "He knows how to marry good content with good design, and his pieces work."
Giunta also is a part-time faculty member with JJC. He teaches a variety of seminars including graphic design, digital photography, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, business writing, and management communications.
Each year, Graphic Design USA publishes and awards in-house designers. Of the more than 5,000 entries, the magazine selected JJC's 12-page capabilities brochure as one of the award winners. It will be included in the Graphic Design USA 2008 In-House Awards annual this July.
The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 12, at the Holiday Inn Select Hotel & Convention Center, 18501 S. Harlem Ave., Tinley Park.
Chamber admission is $25 per person or $240 per table. Nonmembers pay $35 per person or $340 per table. RSVPs required. (708) 957-6950 Ext. 118.
