Maggie's Place party
SHOREWOOD -- Maggie's Place will celebrate its new location with a holiday party at 5 p.m. Friday. The home decorating store has moved two doors down to 339 Vertin Blvd. The party will feature food, drink, entertainment and discounts. A ribbon cutting with the Shorewood chamber will be at 4 p.m. Classes on how to decorate for the holidays will be held Nov. 11. Wreath and swag making seminars are scheduled for Nov. 17. Free Ladies' Night
SHOREWOOD -- Eterna MedSpa & Laser Vein Center will host its second Ladies' Night, a ladies-only event, 5-9 p.m. Thursday in the Shorewood Commons, 217 Vertin Blvd. The event will feature appetizers, drinks, shopping, treatment demonstrations and beauty secrets with special offers and giveaways. Admission is free.
Ribbon cutting
LOCKPORT -- The chamber will welcome a new business to town this week. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Heritage Jewelers , 1115 E. Ninth St. The jewelry store will hold a grand opening 5-9 p.m. The event will include wine and cheese and free ring cleanings. The business offers retail jewelry, design and repair.
