Two-car accident: Maria Herrera, 45, 700 block of North Avenue, Aurora, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center after a two-car accident at 8:22 p.m. Oct. 22 near Superior Street and Farnsworth Avenue, Aurora police said. Richard Merle, 36, 600 block of South Union Street, Aurora, was charged with failure to reduce speed, police said.
Felony possession: Winifred Wallace, 45, 1000 block of Fenton Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of marijuana after he was found in possession of between 30 and 500 grams of marijuana Oct. 21 in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.
Theft from car: A CD player was stolen when someone damaged the dashboard of a car in the 1200 block of Marywood Court between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 19 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 20, Aurora police said. Total loss was $1,120.
Felony possession: Jose Leal, 26, of the 1800 block of Tall Oaks Drive, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after police found him in possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine Oct. 26 in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.
Two-car collision: Laura Romero-Ramos, 27, of the 500 block of East Benton Street, Aurora, was taken to Provena Mercy Medical Center after a two-car collision at 4:56 p.m. Oct. 19 near Diehl and North Eola roads, Aurora police said. A condition report was not available. The other driver, Thomas Clewett, 44, of the 900 block of Sanctuary Lane, Naperville, was charged with failure to reduce speed, police said.
Man turns from victim to suspect: An Aurora man who initially told police he was beaten outside his workplace is now charged with making up the incident. At 2:37 a.m. Oct. 18, Naperville police were called to Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora to meet a man who said he had been attacked outside a restaurant in the 1900 block of Glacier Park Drive, just off of Route 59 in Naperville. Esteban Rodriguez, 23, 900 block of Schomer Road, Aurora, told officers that he had been stabbed and beaten during an armed robbery in the parking lot, police said. Naperville police investigated and learned that the attack never happened and that Rodriguez had lied. Rodriguez was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, police said.
Theft from car: A camera, CDs and cash, all worth $1,500, were stolen from a car in the 1100 block of Pine Grove Court between 9 p.m. Oct. 17 and 10:45 a.m. Oct. 18, Aurora police said.
