Two 16-year-old Naperville girls have been charged with falsely making a terrorist threat and criminal defacement to property, both felonies, in connection with threats scrawled on two bathroom stalls at Waubonsie Valley High School on May 8, Aurora police said.
The Brach estate estimates it spent more than $2.2 million in the eminent domain case against Indian Prairie School District 204. Attorneys for the estate also are seeking damages for lost value of the land, according to documents filed today.

Ron J. Zeman has been hired as principal of Western Avenue Elementary School in Geneva. He starts on July 1.

Sean Gorman has owned and operated Tavern on the Fox on Broadway in downtown Aurora for 16 years. He loves the restaurant's location, and he doesn't want to leave. And he certainly doesn't want to be forced to close his doors. But thanks to new regulations regarding grease traps, Gorman and other small restaurant owners in and around Aurora are finding themselves with a choice between scraping together tens of thousands of dollars on short notice or throwing in the towel.
