Police Report

These are incidents reported by the Downers Grove Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.

1 Driving under the influence: Diane E. O'Hare, 47, 1400 Holland Place; 1:40 a.m. on the 900 block of Burlington Avenue; charged with two counts of DUI, driving without headlights when required and improper lane usage.

2 DUI: Mark A. Keast, 52, Elmhurst; 12:26 a.m. at Butterfield Road and Highland Avenue; charged with two counts of DUI and improper lane usage.

3 DUI: Lisa K. Rietz, 33, Newton, Mass.; 12:04 a.m. at Maple and Walnut avenues; charged with two counts of DUI.

4 DUI: Larry L. Bartoli, 47, Elmwood Park; 11:16 p.m. at Kenyon and Webster streets; charged with DUI, driving without headlights when required, improper lane usage and speeding.

5 DUI: Jorge J. Gonzalez, 41, Chicago; 9:18 a.m. at Downers Grove Police Department, 825 Burlington Ave.; charged with two counts of DUI.

6 Theft under $300: Between 3 and 4 p.m. at YMCA, 711 59th St.; coat, gloves and wallet with cash and gift card stolen from locker room inside gym.

7 Theft of motor vehicle parts: Between 7 p.m. Oct. 27 and 10 a.m. at Downers Grove Motors, 700 Ogden Ave.; bumper stolen from vehicle in dealership parking lot; loss estimated at $800.

8 Retail theft: Sergio C. Mendoza, 21, Woodridge; 8:10 p.m. at Ultra Foods, 1212 75th St.; allegedly attempted to steal razor blades from store; value estimated at $18.39.

9 Theft under $300: 2:45 p.m. at Lester School, 236 Indianapolis Ave.; bicycle stolen from rack outside school.

10 Damage to property: Between 5:50 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. at Belmont Depot, 5000 Belmont Road; Driver-side window of vehicle broken; damage estimated at $200.

11 Damage to property: Between noon Oct. 23 and 8 a.m. on the 6900 block of Springside Avenue; fence in backyard of residence damaged; damage estimated at $1,000.

12 Burglary to motor vehicle: Between 12:30 p.m. Oct. 22 and 4 p.m. at Court's of Falling Water, 7313 Northgate Way; saw stolen from vehicle; loss estimated at $400.

13 Burglary to motor vehicle: Between 2 and 9:30 p.m. at Toys R Us, 1540 75th St.; rear window of vehicle broken; damage estimated at $50.

14 Theft over $300: Between midnight Aug. 26 and midnight at Luxury Motors 330 Ogden Ave., lawn tractor stolen from dealership.

15 Theft of motor vehicle: Between 8 and 9:30 p.m. at YMCA, 711 59th St.; vehicle with GPS system and wallet with credit/debit cards stolen; loss estimated at $4,245. Police Report
