School party: Pierce Downer School in Downers Grove will hold Pierce-A-Palooza from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Barn at Arabian Knights, 6526 Clarendon Hills Road, Willowbrook. The annual fundraiser features three live local bands, raffles and silent auction.

Edible designs: Teens can decorate cookies from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Downers Grove Library, 1050 Curtiss St., Downers Grove. Sugar cookies, sprinkles and frosting will be provided. Lunch for veterans: The Center for History will hold a lunch for veterans and their families at 11 a.m. at 315 W. Front St., Wheaton. The event is part of the center's Dignity, Service & Valor oral history project. A 1944 MB (Willys) World War II military Jeep will be on display with pieces from the center's trench art collection. Craft show: Members and friends of the Book and Paper Guild will have their seventh annual sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Warren Tavern, 3S540 Second St., Warrenville. Home accessory items, hand-bound books, journals, cards, original art, ornaments, pottery, jewelry, hand knits and other items will be featured.
