Sheriff's police arrest Downers Grove man

A Downers Grove man has been arrested by DuPage County Sheriff's Police in connection with residential burglaries that occurred in unincorporated Downers Grove during the past few weeks.

Christopher P. Kaduk, 44, of the 8200 block of Woodglen Lane, has been charged with one count of residential burglary, which is a Class 1 felony.

Sheriff's detectives have been investigating the burglaries that occurred in the area of Lake in the Woods Condos and the Mallard Landings Subdivision. According to a press release from the sheriff's office, Kaduk allegedly committed 12 residential burglaries between Aug. 31 and Sept. 19 by approaching residences, ringing the doorbell and then entering the unoccupied homes.

Kaduk is being held in the DuPage County Jail on $500,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 3.
