Hampshire 8, Keith School 0 -- Devon Murphy had three goals and Gianina Estocado scored two to lead the Whip-Purs in Stillman Valley Class 2A Sectional play. Kristy Pfaffinger, Christine Schumacher and Kelsey Burke added tallies with Burke, Murphy, Kelly Plitchta and Cindy Brigham tallying assists. Alex Heinrich and Alex Dumoulin split time in goal, but Hampshire's defense kept them from facing a single shot on goal.
"All the girls played well tonight," Whip-Purs coach Patrick O'Brien said. "Murphy took her game to another level. She is providing us with great senior leadership when we need it the most."
North Shore Country Day 4, Westminster Christian 1 -- Amanda Shelton scored the lone Warriors goal with an assist from Candace Sherman as Westminster fell in its own Class 1A Sectional match. The Warriors finish the year 1-12-1.
"I was proud of how the girls played," Westminster coach Josh Guge said. "We outshot them and controlled possession. We just couldn't finish."
Winnebago 1, Genoa-Kingston 0 (F-PK) -- The Cogs (8-10-2) fell in penalty kicks after taking Winnebago through four overtimes in the Stillman Valley Class 2A Sectional.
"The girls played their hearts out," G-K coach Randy Tate said. "We knew it was going to be a tough battle. It's never easy having to play the same team three times in a season.
"We had plenty of opportunities and definitely outshot them, but our shots were never at close range. They kept us out and we just kept firing away from deep. We had a couple hit the crossbar in OT, but just couldn't get one in."
