BARTLETT -- Bartlett ran its winning streak to 12 in a row Saturday, sweeping Schaumburg on senior day for the Hawks.
Bartlett (23-5) won 6-0 and 7-1. Lauren Wydra (15-2) struck out 12 in the opener, allowing two hits and four walks. She also contributed offensively with two hits and an RBI. Concetta Lampugnano had three hits and Callie Dennison went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and three RBIs.
Dennison (8-1) won Game 2, yielding four hits and no walks with four strikeouts. Dennison added two hits, including a double, and scored a run. Steph Jones (2 hits, 2 RBIs), Alexis Gordon (2 hits, 2 RBIs) and Nicole Beck (2 hits, RBI) also aided the cause.
South Elgin splits -- The Storm (16-9) knocked off Willowbrook 12-0 before falling to Plainfield South 7-0 in the championship game at the Fenton Tournament.
Kimberly Pierce cracked four hits and drove in five runs to lead South Elgin against Willowbrook. She also scored three runs, while Alyssa Krause and Courtney Bosteder each drove in a pair of runs.
Rebecca French struck out six and earned the win in three innings of work.
The Storm's offense fell silent in the title game, despite two hits each from Katelyn Stonecipher and Lauren Vitiello.
St. Charles East 11, East Aurora 1 -- Rebecca Reinbold, Cortney Morgan and Claire Derosier each had three hits to power the Saints' offensive attack.
Victoria Perez tossed only two innings and struck out three for East (12-11, 8-5 Upstate Eight Conference). Gabby Moe picked up the win in relief, striking out six. Beth Carrignan added a pair of hits for the Saints.
St. Charles North beats Batavia, Elgin -- The North Stars (18-10, 8-7 UEC) picked up a 12-3 non-conference win against Batavia before beating Elgin 2-1 in league play.
Loren Cihlar had four hits, scored two runs and drove in two more to lead North against Batavia. Syd Russell and Natalie Capone each added two hits, while Amanda Ciran (6-2) struck out five and earned the win.
Taylor Russell and Kristin Damm each drove in runs in the victory against Elgin. Damm and Lauren Screeden each had two hits. Melissa Engel (4-4) kept the Maroons in check, striking out six.
Brandi Hernandez had two hits and scored the lone Elgin run. Kelly Patchett (2-14) pitched and drove in the run for the Maroons (3-17, 3-11 UEC).
St. Edward 11, Immaculate Conception 1 (5 inn.) -- Paige Maschinski and Kelly Knott had two hits, Megan Tourtellott drove in two runs and Erin McGraw pitched and scored two runs to lead the Green Wave (15-11, 9-4 Suburban Catholic Conference).
Meghan Petersen, Celeste Von Ahnen, Lea Diaz and Stephanie Werner added hits for St. Edward.
G-K sweeps Plano -- Lindsay Decker struck out 14 while tossing a one-hit 1-0 win over Plano. Jami Miller accounted for the run with a solo home run.
The Cogs (16-8) won Game 2 5-2 as Ashley Miller pitched and also went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Streamwood splits -- The Sabres (8-19) beat Rolling Meadows 6-4 before falling 19-8 in the nightcap. Barb Posinger (6-13) was the winner in Game 1 and also rapped three hits.
Kelsey Johnson (2-5) took the loss in Game 2. Adrienne Pisano and Melissa Abraham each had three hits.
