ELMHURST -- St. Charles East's volleyball team continued its postseason dominance Thursday night, rolling to the championship of the York Class 4A Sectional.
The Saints defeated the host Dukes 25-22, 25-19. East has won its four postseason matches without dropping a game.
Carolina Niski and Jacqui Seidel led the way with 11 kills apiece. Meghan Niski and Haley Streich added six each and Laura Homann contributed 29 assists.
The Saints (35-4) advance to Saturday's Elgin Super-Sectional at 1 p.m. at Chesbrough Field House.
They'll meet Crystal Lake South (32-7), which advanced after defeating Huntley 25-20, 25-13 in the title match of the Prairie Ridge Sectional on Thursday night.
The Saints won the AA state title in 2001, placed second in 1985, third in 2007 and fourth in 1986.
