The St. Charles East volleyball team had four players earn All-Upstate Eight Conference status to lead the area contingency.

Seniors Caroline Niski (OH) and Jacqui Seidel (RH/S) were both unanimous picks. Sophomores Meghan Niski (OH) and Maisey Mulvey (L) were also named to the team.

St. Charles North senior Karlie Giesler (OH/RS) was a unanimous selection. Senior Allie VanDril (MB) also represented North.

Bartlett senior outside hitter Carly Sahagian was a unanimous selection. Senior outside hitter Alyssa Krause was South Elgin's lone representative. Elgin senior libero Lindsey Hedl also made the All-UEC team.

The senior will be signing a letter of intent to play at Tennessee on Thursday in the main office at Bartlett High. Sahagian, a unanimous All-UEC Selection and three-time Courier-News all-area first team selection, finished the season with 463 kills, 63 aces, 27 blocks and 158 digs.

The 6-foot, four-year starter led the Hawks to 23-12 record. The Volunteers finished 22-10 under 13-year coach Rob Patrick last season. This year, Tennessee is 15-6 overall and 8-3 in the SEC East.
