Gators pound Red Raiders

CRYSTAL LAKE -- Huntley was shut out for the second consecutive week, losing 41-0 to Crystal Lake South on Friday night in Fox Valley Conference Valley Division action.

The Red Raiders were outgained 392 yards to 23 and trailed 41-0 at the break. Huntley (3-4, 0-3) lost its fourth consecutive game after a 3-0 start.

Marcus Popenfoose rushed six times for 23 yards for Huntley, which could get little going against the Gators (7-0, 3-0), who are ranked sixth in the Class 7A state poll.

South has defeated Huntley all four times the teams have met by a combined score of 167-14.
