Midsommar Festival
South Elgin's 4th annual Scandinavian Midsommar Festival
at Vasa Park took place Saturday. In Scandinavian countries, these festivals are celebrated to commemorate the longest day of the
year, and are among the most important, ancient and popular traditional
festivals in Northern European countries.
Viking Andrew Woods, of "Friends of the Viking Ship" based out of Geneva, talks to Quinton Hunter, 11, of Crystal Lake, about the various weapons Vikings used in battle.
