Faithful in works
Elgin Christian Development Corp., in partnership with 18 other local churches and Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, began Blitz Build, a weeklong rehabilitation project on some local apartment buildings. The ECDC and more than 100 volunteers plan to finish the project with their donated supplies on Saturday.
Allison Sherrill of Arlington Heights volunteered her labor during work hours at Trans National on Thursday during project Blitz Build 2009. Sherrill prepared paint for interior doors at a six-flat on Abbott Drive in Elgin. Project Blitz Build 2009 was the mastermind of Elgin Christian Development Corporation, a non-profit organization seeking to rebuild lives and unite churches.
