Faithful in works
Elgin Christian Development Corp., in partnership with 18 other local churches and Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, began Blitz Build, a weeklong rehabilitation project on some local apartment buildings. The ECDC and more than 100 volunteers plan to finish the project with their donated supplies on Saturday.
David Binion of Sjolstrom Construction has his son David Binion Jr. help him hang a door in one of six apartments at 1287 Abbott Drive in Elgin on Thursday. Binion is volunteering his time to help during project Blitz Build 2009.
