Knuth hurls S Elgin to win
After a competitive spring of high school baseball, the summer league gives coaches a chance to see what their team will look like the following spring. With many underclassmen and first-year varsity players getting the chance to make an impact, visiting South Elgin pulled off a 14-9 win over host Elgin on Monday. One of those players that got an opportunity is incoming junior pitcher Marty Knuth, earning the win with five solid innings.
