Digging in DuPage
A mastodon dig is under way at Pratt's Wayne Woods Forest Preserve in Bartlett. The DuPage County Forest Preserve District and the Field Museum sponsored the dig and are using it to educate local students and teachers. The event gave the participants on Thursday the opportunity to uncover the remains of an 11,500-year-old mastodon.
