South Elgin man found guilty on weapons charges

October 27, 2009

ROLLING MEADOWS — A South Elgin man was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison Monday for shooting a gun at a man in Bartlett in 2008.

David L. Gordon, 39, of the 400 block of Martin Drive, was convicted of aggravated discharge of a firearm.

The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred Dec. 13, when police responded to a report of a gun being fired in the 100 block of North Tatge Avenue.

Gordon reportedly fled the area before police arrived, according to reports. Bartlett police arrested him a week later when they recovered a gun from his vehicle.

No one was shot or injured in the incident.
