Police Report: Elgin home burglarized

• Burglary: Approximately $3,000 worth of jewelry along with $180 in cash were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Lucille Avenue Friday evening.


• Burglary: Approximately $800 worth of jewelry along with an iPod in cash were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Lucille Avenue Friday evening.


• Theft: Nearly $5,000 worth of construction equipment was reported stolen from a construction truck parked in downtown Elgin near the intersection of Kimball Street and north Grove Avenue Friday morning.


• Theft: A yellow piece of playground equipment valued over $1,000 was reported stolen Friday from the city's Summerhill Park in the 1300 block of Concord Drive sometime over the last two weeks.
