Elgin Choral Union celebrates its 63rd season opening with a "Bal Masque Gala" concert at 3:30 p.m. today at the ECC Visual and Performing Arts Center, 1700 Spartan Drive in Elgin. ECC Culinary Arts and Hospitality Institute of Elgin presents its Distinguished Visiting Chef Series starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, with a 7 p.m. reception and dinner immediately following.
