Depp films in Lockport
Actor Johnny Depp gave local fans a thrill in 2008 as he appeared in downtown Lockport for the filming of his new movie "Public Enemies." Depp filmed several scenes in the area, including a stint in Joliet. Fans came out in droves to get a glimpse of Depp and the crew.
Downtown Lockport's historic buildings provided the perfect setting for
the filming of "Public Enemies" Friday afternoon. The new Johnny Depp
movie focuses on the lives of legendary 1930s gangsters John Dillinger,
Pretty Boy Floyd and Baby Face Nelson.
