HomeTown Aurora rowhomes offer small-town living with urban appeal

July 18, 2008

Bigelow Homes has taken one of its best-selling single-family homes and turned it into maintenance-free rowhomes starting in the $170s, steps from Town Center Park in HomeTown Aurora.

Right now, there are only 12 left and they won't last long.

"This is a great opportunity for people who have always wanted to enjoy the HomeTown lifestyle," said Mike Venetis, Bigelow's vice president of sales and marketing. "Now they can live here at an even more attractive price without sacrificing square-footage and amenities. The first of two rowhome buildings we recently released is already 50 percent sold out."

With 1,760 square feet, two bedrooms, three full baths, a two-car garage, and split-level convenience, these homes are perfect for empty nesters who want to simplify their lifestyles and live in a warm family environment.

The rowhomes are located in one of HomeTown Aurora's choicest spots, across from award-winning Town Center Park, which features a fountain, gazebo, and amphitheater. They are also across from the central Town Center, which includes inviting shops and boutiques.

In addition to two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, and dining room, the open floor plans include an urban kitchen with a central island and General Electric appliances. There is also a flex room that can serve a number of purposes including a home office or an exercise room.

Multi-award-winning HomeTown Aurora, has a national reputation as one of the most innovative communities developed in the last 10 years. The community was modeled after the classic American small town complete with a café, postal center, 15 inviting parks, and a number of eco-friendly features. Streets are designed to slow traffic and courtyards encourage neighborhood play.

HomeTown neighbors plan several annual events including holiday festivities and a Fourth of July celebration that is now legendary.

HomeTown Aurora is within three miles of the Westfield Fox Valley Shopping Center, Oakhurst Forest Preserve, Phillips Park Golf Course, Phillips Park Zoo, and the Eola Community Center, which includes a public library. The East-West Tollway and public transportation are 10 minutes or less away.

To get to the community, take Route 59 to Ogden Avenue, west to Montgomery Road, then north one mile.

The sales center is open Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday and Friday from noon to 6 p.m.; and closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
