Five students selected to participate in music festivals

Several Bolingbrook High School students have been selected to participate in Illinois Music Educators District festivals.
Ashley Dixon will perform with the IMEA District Band on french horn. Matthew Honneger will perform in the IMEA District Orchestra. Kevin Nepomuceno will sing for IMEA District Chorus, and Brian Maule will play trombone and Thomas Peterson will perform trumpet for IMEA jazz bands.
The students auditioned in October, competing against students from other schools.
The IMEA Band, Orchestra and Choral festivals will take place Nov. 21 at Hampshire High School. The Jazz Festival is Nov. 14 at St. Charles North High School.
