Two young men from Bolingbrook have been charged with running a prostitution scheme from a Downers Grove hotel.

This year's Bolingbrook Village Picnic attracted its biggest crowd in three years, a spokesman said. Plenty of sunshine June 29 added to the success of the picnic, said Joe Gross, a spokesman for the event and former judge of the picnic's annual art show. About 8,000 people came out to Town Center to enjoy free hot dogs, games, contests, bingo, pony rides, live entertainment, an art show and more, he said.
