Trick or treating is a fun reason for kids to love Bolingbrook. The Village of Bolingbrook's official trick or treat hours for Halloween are from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31. Children should only go to houses that have their lights on, officials noted. Also, children should check all wrappers for signs of tampering, and should never eat anything until they get home and their parents can examine their treats.

Reasons to love Bolingbrook
Bolingbrook takes a back seat to no village when it comes to decorating for Halloween. It only takes a short drive around Bolingbrook to see dozens of homes decked out for a fright. That's a good thing, because the Bolingbrook Beautification Commission will be conducting its annual judging for Spirit of Halloween Awards from dusk to 11 p.m. Oct. 23 to 25. All residents who would like to participate are asked to have their lights on for the judges during that time.

Friendship United Methodist Church
Friendship United Methodist Church is an uplifting reason to love Bolingbrook. Not only is the church a spiritual home for many in the village, it also works to aid the community in many ways.
