Five minutes and 34 seconds is all it took for West Aurora's Raquel Rodriguez to score two goals and Madison Pickett and Ashley Malmgren to score one each, combining to build a commanding 4-0 lead over Plano Thursday.

West Aurora (16-7-1) went on to beat the Reapers 8-0.

"I wanted to score two goals so I could set my goal of 20, but we weren't trying to kill this team, just trying to play to get ready for Naperville North," Rodriguez said. "I think it was good that most of the bench got playing time, because for our next game (Naperville North) we need them."

Plano (0-12), in its inaugural year of girls soccer, put up a valiant effort on defense, but it was outplayed in most aspects of the game. After quickly scoring four goals to open the game, the Blackhawks waited 18:01 to score again when freshman Fati Diallo broke through the center and scored on her own.

Not even 10 seconds later, Erica Cepeda scored again for the Blackhawks, putting them up 6-0. They would go on to score again in the first half with 4:33 left on the clock, making it 7-0.

"We lost our first match against Hinckley 14-0, and we get better every game," said Plano head coach Ben Sperry. "We're working on learning from other teams. We'll watch this team, talk about it in practice and try to work on the things they did."

The final goal for the Blackhawks came when Valerie Lizalde bent it like Beckham, launching the ball just out of reach from the goalie off the top cross bar, which forced the ball down in front of the net and it ended up spinning into the bottom left corner of the goal - all from about 100 feet out off a free kick.
