Class 1A Somonauk Regional -- On Wednesday, Fourth-seeded Somonauk defeated fifth-seeded Serena 25-16, 25-18 before falling to top-seeded Newark 25-13, 25-10. For the Bobcats (10-23) Karrah Kuykendall had nine kills, five assists and 16 digs against Serena. Braunwyn Feil had 12 assists against Serena nad five against Newark.

On Thursday, Indian Creek defeated Lamoille 25-23, 25-21 before being eliminated by Marquette 25-17, 25-22.

Class 1A Westminster Christian Regional -- Top-seeded Hinckley-Big Rock downed fifth-seeded Mooseheart 25-15, 25-11. Jenna Thorp had eight kills for the Royals while Heather Weissinger had seven digs. Earlier, the Red Ramblers (4-13) defeated fourth-seeded Hiawatha 25-16, 25-17.

Class 2A Lisle Regional -- Westmont defeated Aurora Christian 25-19, 25-19.

Class 3A Burlington Central Regional -- Kaneland lost to DeKalb 25-20, 25-15.

Class 3A Lemont Regional -- Lemont defeated Yorkville 25-15, 25-18. The Foxes (5-26) were led by Brittany Straznickas (three kills, seven digs), Katrina Donarski (four blocks, two kills) and Sonja Gilbertson (six blocks).

Class 4A Oswego East Regional -- Romeoville defeated Oswego East 25-21, 25-23. Danielle Dodd led the Wolves with six kills while Anne Marie Sullivan had 15 assists and Jordan Reifsteck had nine digs.

Class 2A St. Francis de Sales Regional -- Plano reached the regional final by beating St. Francis de Sales 25-13, 25-9.

Class 4A Joliet Township Regional -- Waubonsie Valley advanced to the regional final by beating Joliet Township 25-19, 21-25, 25-23.

Aurora University d. Concordia-Chicago 25-19, 19-25, 26-24, 25-19 -- Michelle Sims had 11 kills and 18 digs for the Spartans (16-14, 9-3 Northern Athletics). Vanessa Davids had 11 kills and five blocks and Christine Ozlanski had 19 assists and seven digs.

Sauk Valley d. Waubonsee 25-17, 25-12, 25-13

Aurora 2, Augustana 1 (OT) -- Kyle Haumersen had the winning goal for the Spartans (12-5-1, 7-4 Northern Athletics). Mike Emma scored on a penalty kick and Kevin Soderstrom had four saves.
