Woman wields a shovel to bash car

Maria Razo, 23, of the 200 block of Plum Street, Aurora, was charged with felony criminal damage to property after she smashed the windshield and scratched the body of a 2001 Mitsubishi parked in the 0-99 block of Blackhawk Street at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, the Kane County state's attorney's office said. According to Aurora police, two women watched Razo cause $5,000 in damage to the car, while Razo accused one of the women of "messing" with her husband.

Multiple charges

Erica Burgess, 23, of the 600 block of Kimberly Lane, Montgomery, was charged with felony criminal damage to property Monday for a July 20 incident in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said. Burgess also was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a park, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance after she was found with between 1 and 15 grams of cocaine Thursday, prosecutors said.


• Tracey Orr, 32, of the 900 block of Second Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony theft Friday after she took unauthorized control of property worth between $300 and $10,000 on March 24, 2008, in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.


• Mamie Courtney, 43, of the 1700 block of North Farnsworth Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony aggravated battery after she stabbed a man in the leg with a knife on Thursday in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.


• A laptop worth $2,240 was stolen from a car in the 100 block of South Russell in Aurora between 1:30 and 6 p.m. Wednesday.


• About $1,500 in damage was done when someone fired BBs into three windows on a house in the 200 block of South Westlawn Avenue between Halloween and Wednesday, Aurora police said.


• Jewelry, a cell phone, cash, DVDs and a watch, all worth $11,410, were stolen from a home in the 300 block of South Western Avenue between 5:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, Aurora police said.


• Reginald Thomas, 26, of the 600 block of North Harrison Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after he was found with less than 15 grams of ecstasy Friday in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.


• Michael Beach Jr., 34, of the 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, was charged with felony defrauding a drug screening test after he was found to be in possession of a substance that he planned to use as a substitute in order to pass a drug test Thursday in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.


• Donte Tuggles, 22, of the 800 block of North May Street, Aurora, was charged with felony obstructing justice after he provided false information to an officer Thursday in Aurora, Kane County prosecutors said.

Kendall County

Asleep in car

Christopher Johnson, 45, of the 0-99 block of Spring Dale Road, Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving after he was found asleep in a running car at 1:35 a.m. Thursday in front of his home, Kendall County sheriff's deputies said.


• Christine Henriksen, 54, of the 200 block of Bearing Drive, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and speeding at 1:24 a.m. Thursday near Galena Road and Rosenwinkle Street, Kendall County sheriff's deputies said.
