Man caught with pot lies about age name

Sylvester Green, 32, of the 600 block of Rosewood Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of marijuana and obstructing justice as well as misdemeanor possession of marijuana after he was found in possession of between 10 and 30 grams of marijuana, then gave officers a false name, on Tuesday in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.

Oswego

Two-car crash

Karen Michels, 62, of the 3800 block Wolf Road, Oswego, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center after a two-car crash at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday near Douglas Road and Route 34, Oswego police said. No condition report was available. No tickets were issued.

Aurora

Coke charges

Socorro Lopez, 33, of the 1000 block of South Pleasure Court, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance when he was found with less than 15 grams of cocaine Tuesday in Aurora, the Kane County state's attorney's office said.


• A GPS system, rings, watches, necklaces, computers and change, all worth $3,060, were stolen when someone forced open the door of a home in the 900 block of Plum Street between 6:30 a.m. and 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, Aurora police said.


• Tammy Sugg, 42, of the 300 block of Chicago Road, Oswego, was treated and released from Rush-Copley Medical Center after a two-car crash at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday near Route 34 and Frontenac Road, Aurora police said. Lihui Wang, 33, of the 600 block of North Charlotte Street, Lombard, was charged with failure to yield turning left, police said.
